In the record Eurojackpot, the Czechs only collected money. Bettors from Germany and Slovenia share three billion

--

Bettors split the fabulous winnings on Tuesday. This year’s Eurojackpot promised a record reward of 3,032,000,000 crowns for Czech and foreign bettors. In Tuesday’s lottery draw, the first place was taken by one bettor from Germany and one from Slovenia, both bet the same numbers and shared 1,515,900,000 crowns. Less than 87 million were shared by two bettors from Poland, two from Germany and two from the Czech Republic, while over 15.8 million were shared by winners from the Czech Republic, Germany and Slovakia. The betting company Sazka thus has 253 million crowns left in its coffers until the next draw, which will take place in two days.

Lottery manager at Sazka, Martin Babec, previously stated that the company expected an almost threefold increase in customer interest. He added that Tuesday’s Eurojackpot was also the highest possible win in Czech history. However, no one from the Czech Republic won the main prize, it was shared between one winner from Germany and the other bettor lives in Slovenia.

However, the lucky Czechs will share less than 87 million together with two winners from Poland and two from Germany. The third highest prize of 15.8 million made millionaires out of one German, Slovakian and Czech, according to the winnings table. This year’s Eurojackpot therefore made three new millionaires out of three Czechs.

According to CNN Prima NEWS, all bets in the Czech Republic were placed online. “They were all bet on the Internet, when the winnings are automatically credited to the player’s account, so no one has to log in to us in these cases,” Sazka spokeswoman Pavla Hobíková told the portal. Another three bettors from the Czech Republic shared three Land Rover Defender all-terrain vehicles, one of the winners placed a bet in Brno, she added.

“She wishes the Czechs a lot of luck this year. In 2024, a total of 163 new millionaires have been added to the Czech Republic thanks to Sazka. The total amount distributed among these winners amounts to 877,290,400 crowns,” Hobíková specified.

Already last week, a bettor from Prague won the second order of the Eurojackpot. In the fifth column, he hit all five numbers from the first fate and also one of the two numbers from the second fate. As a result, he received CZK 129,349,298 on Tuesday, April 16. “This is the fourth highest Eurojackpot win in the Czech Republic. And overall, it is the twelfth highest win in the Czech Republic ever, including Sportka and other Sazka games,” commented Martin Babec.

Eurojackpot is an international European lottery in the Czech Republic represented by Sazka. Bettors bet 5 numbers out of 50 and 2 additional “euro numbers” out of 12, winnings are divided into 12 orders. The draw takes place every Tuesday and Friday.
