American investments include missiles in the Patriot and NASAMS anti-aircraft defense systems, other types of ammunition, drones and systems for their decoding. Defense Minister Lloyd Austin fully confirmed after the virtual one contact group for Ukraine, which coordinates the country supplying Kiev with military support.

At first, the Pentagon confirmed in the press that the government will purchase such equipment for the integration of outdated anti-aircraft defense systems into Ukrainian equipment. As part of the historical package, he names artillery ammunition, tactical vehicles, light weapons and components for the production of drones in Ukraine.

It is not about material from existing American forces that the army could immediately send. The aid announced in Ptek is based on a different mechanism, namely on orders for American arms companies, which then supply materials for Ukraine.

This announcement marks the beginning of the procurement process for the purchase of additional priority capacities for Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

The equipment probably won’t arrive in Ukraine for several years, the website Politico wrote in the fourth link. As reported by the AP agency, the military aid is part of the US Initiative for Security Assistance to Ukraine (USAI), which secures long-term contracts for the defense industry and the delivery of weapons, which can take months or even years.

The American government will use the money allocated by Congress this week to make purchases, when it approved the release of $61 billion in military and economic aid to Ukraine and other partners in the region. The fifth package, according to American standards, is your military pension.

The United States is the most important supplier of military aid to Ukraine, and since the Russian invasion in 2022, Washington has been preparing for Kiev a batch of balk weapons and other material assembled from the forces of the American army. The last such addition worth billions of dollars was announced by US President Joe Biden on Wednesday immediately after he signed the tax bill passed by Congress.

The American support of the countries fighting the Russian aggression was crippled for several months due to the opposition of Republican lawmakers and the allocation of additional funds for this purpose. According to Biden’s government, these tugs caused the Ukrainians to know the code to fight.

Belgium, please hurry up

Belgium has announced that it wants to deliver F-16 jets to Kyiv this year. Brussels originally planned to strike until 2025, but now it has decided not to wait for a new government to be formed.

We will do our best to deliver the aircraft by the end of the year. I want to underline that our own security will not be threatened, said Minister of Defense Ludivine Dedonderov.

Uspen announced the additions at a press conference together with Dedonderová and Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo, who announced the government’s decision as a big step for Ukrainian defense.

Belgium is one of the few countries that formed a coalition with the aim of providing Ukraine with F-16 strikes. The country, which has been defending itself against the armed aggression of neighboring Russia for less than two years, is in dire need of competitive aircraft. Even Denmark, the Netherlands, and the Netherlands spoke about the additions during the spring to this day.

The F-16 is one of the main military equipment and equipment that Ukraine receives from its allies, the president of the country, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, reiterated today at the virtual one contact group for Ukraine.
