What is the X platform user currently active and engaged in? Is it better to go to Brussels by train or by plane? Both economically and time-wise, but also with respect to the environment.

In the fall of last year, information appeared that there would soon be a train connection between Prague and Brussels. The first train left the Belgian capital on Monday night, arriving in Prague the following day before noon. The train will run four times a week. And just like in the case of the first RegioJet trip to Rijeka in Croatia all those years ago, this time too the trip from Prague to Brussels became the most discussed topic on social media.

The train from Brussels to Prague will also stop at Antwerp, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Berlin, Drany, Bad Schandau, Dn and st nad Labem stations. According to the route, the dog will take fifteen hours. The train will leave Prague every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. The price of tickets with a seat in the sitting section is 49 euros, i.e. approximately 1240 crowns, and 79 euros, i.e. approximately 2000 crowns, per person in the medical section. At the present time, however, the tickets are many times higher, on the nearest road they cost around 5 thousand crowns, with a later date the price of the tickets will decrease.

People on social networks, especially on platform X, have been debating a lot in recent days about whether there is a need for such a train at all. Many of them are convinced that this is not the case. Just think that for a much cheaper price and in a shorter time, the same journey can be completed by plane. You can drive fifteen hours from Brussels to Prague with five people in this for 5000 K, or one hour by plane for the same price. what you choose asked the moderator of the Insider podcast, Michal Pr. The state and many others were on his side.

As for the carbon footprint, I can’t exactly calculate it; it depends on the fullness, security of the electronics and other things. But the Prague-Brussels flight costs approx. 80 kg of CO2/person, while the train and detour will only emit a fraction of that (units of kg CO2). Btw, airplanes pollute the atmosphere with other gases as well. https://t.co/ZEc5aTTkiP

However, the non-connection between Brussels and Prague has many supporters. the time difference is not so dramatic. Although the flight takes many times the time, not the train journey, you have to deal with the transfer to and from the flight. In addition, before departure, it is convenient to be on the flight two hours before the departure of the plane, and that is how the time is divided.

I have a relatively simple answer to the question Pram, and only Pirt Tom Guth Jarkovsk. I don’t have to, no one forces me, but I can voluntarily choose the mode of transport that has the most emissions. People still want some personal responsibility, so take responsibility and be a dude, near Jarkovsk on platform X. Emissions and the destruction of air are one of the main arguments of the proponents of the train connection. I can’t quite figure out what the carbon footprint is. It depends on the availability, safety of electronics and other things. However, the Prague-Brussels flight costs approx. 80 kilograms of CO2 per person, while the train and detour will only emit a fraction of that. Abel was one of the first to complete the trip and reviewed it all on platform X. The dining car offer was very poor, because the purchase was outdated, moreover, there were no drawers in them that day and the internet connection on the train did not work. On the other hand, compared to the plane, it had much more space. He pointed out that the train was traveling within the time limit.

Similar debates took place on social media in 2020, when RegioJet announced the departure of the first train from Prague to Rijeka, Croatia. Even then, there were many debates about whether there was a need at all and who would want to drive them. Until last year, RegioJet ran trains regularly, this is not the case this year. Similarly, the offer can be compared with the Slovakian Koice, where you can get a plane ticket from Prague for two thousand crowns. Even the dog is still exhausted by the trains to Koice. The train journey from Prague took about eight hours, the flight an hour.
