The Spectacular Music of Hollywood concert will feature award-winning composer John Debney, who is most associated with the Walt Disney Company. The holder of three Emmy awards in Prague will personally introduce music from the film Iron Man 2 or compositions created for Disney. As the son of Disney studio producer Louis Debney, John Debney grew up in a world of grand fairy tales and even more iconic tunes. So no one can be surprised that he too has become a key member of the Disney musical family. He wrote the music from the films Princess Diary or Jungle Bookcomposed the tunes for many attractions at Disneylandbut above all he arranged several forms legendary fanfarewhich inherently belongs to the Walt Disney logowhich we hear before the start of each film from this film workshop.
His masterwork lies not only in the creation of emotional and engaging compositions, but also in the ability to adapt his style to diverse genres – from animated films to horror. Among his most famous works are music from the production of popular Marvel Studios Iron Man 2where the actor shone in the lead role of Tony Stark Robert Downey Jr. A specific project for Debney was the music for a spectacular musical film The greatest showman. In collaboration with the lyricist duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, they created unforgettable hits such as This is Me, Rewrite the Stars or Never Enough.
He has transferred his musical talent to a wide range of films and series and has often been awarded for his unique approach, he is the holder of three Emmy awards for TV series Cape, Guardian of the Sea and Young riders. The Spectacular Music of Hollywood concert is the opening concert of the international Composers Summit Prague, the third year of which takes place from April 18 to 23, 2024 and will take place under the auspices of the Minister of Culture, Martin Baxa. It represents a unique opportunity for composers and orchestrators to personally perform their unique film and gaming musical works on one stage.
