The wind in the northeast of Bohemia broke trees and blew out bonfires, and the railway stopped

Firefighters in the Vysoin intervened from 11 a.m. until the evening because of the dark weather, and that was the case in several cases. They also cleared fallen trees and branches from the roads. According to the data they published on the regional website, they went mainly to Russia, where they cleared trees in those small towns, and to Havlkobrodsk. In some cities, trees also fell on the railway, and trains stopped for less than an hour between Studenec and Budiov in Tebesko, where replacement buses were deployed, the railways said. Train service was resumed after about 90 minutes at around 7 p.m.

In several places in the region, in the afternoon, meteorologists reported wind gusts of up to 70 kilometers per hour. In Svratouch, which lies beyond the Vysoina border in the Pardubice region, the wind speed reached 90 kilometers per hour in gusts one hour after noon.

In the Krlovroč region, the fire department responded to an incident, for example, in Mostek in Trutnovsk, where a tree fell on the front of a passenger car, but no one was injured. Trees falling on roads were removed, for example, near Skuhrov nad Blou in Rychnovsk, in Jvka and Zbo in Trutnovsk, astolovice and in Pn in Rychnovsk. In Slatin nad Zdobnice in Rychnovska, they were removing a tree leaning over a railway line.

Already the railways stated that on the lines between the Krlovhradecky and Pardubice regions, Choce Tnit nad Orlic and Tnit nad Orlic Letohrad, travelers have to deal with irregular traffic due to the wind and fallen trees.

The attack on Pardubice fanned the fire

Even in Pardubice, the fire department went out on Tuesday to events caused by the weather. Chainsaws are used to cut down trees in our region, but they blow fire. Firefighters have their hands full. In the afternoon, they intervened, for example, in Biskupice (in the Svitava region), where a place was left unattended due to a diaper that caught fire, said Vendula Horkov, spokeswoman for the regional fire department.

According to Horkov, the fire remained after Monday’s fire. The flames spread to 20 by 30 meters. The intervening units faced not only a strong wind, but also a very steep and impassable hill. The train ran into a fallen tree on Umperska

On Tuesday afternoon, it wasn’t just the northeast that suffered from the storm. In the afternoon, a passenger train ran into a fallen tree on the railway line between Hanuovice and Jindichov in Umperska in the Olomouc region. 29 people were traveling in the train, but no one was injured. The passengers then transferred to a replacement bus. On the line connecting Zbeh and Umperk with Jesenko, the train service was again stopped due to accidents, it was resumed shortly after 16:00.

In connection with the fire in the Olomouc region, the fire brigade registered more than two incidents in the past. It is definitely a matter of fallen trees on roads.
