Another Prince of Persia is coming this year

--

Released in January, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is not the prince that many hoped for, but the 2D metroidvania concept came out on top. Even though the game got good reviews, it didn’t sell well, which is worth the full price. Ubisoft is also known for sending its games on sale fairly quickly. As it turns out, Leton won’t be the only prince.

A piece called The Rogue Prince of Persia, by Henderson at Insider Gaming, should appear on Steam in early access this summer. According to him, the game has been made for three years by the studio Evil Empire, i.e. the creators of the popular game Dead Cells, so we can classify it as a roguelite. This time, it will not be a classic DL either.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown was released this January.

The novelty should be inspired by French-Belgian comics in terms of appearance. Evil Empire can continue to improve the game with free updates, which will shape the entire product based on the response of the game.

In addition to The Rogue Prince of Persia, there will be a remake of Prince of Persia The Sands of Time, which caused confusion with its appearance when it was announced in 2020. Two years later, Ubisoft informed us that the extension was not canceled and the latest information comes from November. At the time, Ubisoft wrote on X that the project had reached its second internal milestone and its development continues.
