Czech hockey players Pavel Zacha and David Pastrňák scored Boston’s only goal in the NHL in the game against Tampa. It was not enough for the Bruins to succeed, they lost 1:3 on the opponent’s ice. In addition, their forward Trent Frederic suffered a bloody injury during the fight.

Mitchell Chaffee gave Tampa Bay the lead in the 11th minute.

Boston responded in the first period. He used Pastrnak’s great tackling to get the puck at Zach’s rear guard, quickly put it under him with a backhand, and Danton Heinen equalized with a shot from the area in front of the goal.

In his second season in Boston, Zacha surpassed the fifty point mark (18+32) and is the third most productive Czech player in the competition behind Pastrňák (45+56) and Martin Nečas (22+29) from Carolina.

The native of Brno can still attack the performance from last year in the last eight games (57 points for 21 goals and 36 assists).

Twenty-two seconds after the equalizer, Tanner Jeannot and Trent Frederic of the home team threw fists at each other. The Boston center took away from the fight a bloody wound on his face and a place on the penalty bench, as both horns wasted a five-minute reward, he headed to the bowels of the stadium for treatment.

The game was decided by Brayden Point, who circled the goal in the 26th minute and put the puck into the goal at the right post.

Nikita Kučerov secured the win when the visitors played without a goalkeeper. The Russian forward with 124 points (42+82) became independent in the productivity of the competition from Nathan MacKinnon from Colorado.

Tampa Bay has scored 15 of a possible 16 points in its last eight games. Boston, which defeated Florida a day earlier, did not take advantage of the opportunity to return to the top of the NHL.

In the remaining game on Wednesday’s schedule, Ottawa won 6-2 in Buffalo. The Canadian club led by four goals in the 9th minute and sent goalkeeper Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen to the substitutes’ bench, who, however, also conceded in the first act.

Buffalo evened the score in the middle with two hits. Shane Pinto had the last word in the 57th minute, who sealed the win when the home team played without a goalkeeper and was voted the first star of the match for his performance (1+3).
