Due to visa problems, around seven dozen passengers from Bolivia cannot leave the port of Barcelona on a cruise ship on which 1,500 people were supposed to travel. According to the police, this group of passengers does not have valid visas for the Schengen area, which makes it impossible for the ship to leave the port, EFE writes. Spanish and Bolivian authorities are working on a solution.

Cruise ship MSC Armonia has set sail from Brazil for a Mediterranean cruise. However, part of the passengers ended their journey in Barcelona, where 69 citizens of Bolivia were also supposed to disembark. However, according to the Spanish police, they do not have valid visas for the Schengen area and therefore cannot leave the deck. The police believe that the documents presented by the passengers are fake.

According to the EFE agency, 1,500 people were supposed to take part in the trip across the Mediterranean Sea. However, the ship cannot leave the port in Barcelona because of a group of people with invalid visas. According to the newspaper El País, passengers were offered to travel to other destinations by air. The Spanish and Bolivian authorities and MSC Cruises, which operates the ship, are looking for a solution to the problem.
