It was supposed to be a one-time trip for Hanka’s distraction. But the adrenaline experience will leave a nasty mark on Vanda, as one might expect. He will again succumb to the lure of the casino and its easy wins and will undoubtedly return there in the future. It remains to be seen how strong his will is.
Vanda gambles with the second chance she got from Luďek
When Vanda (Kristýna Hrušínská) decided to take her sick friend Hana (Adéla Gondíková) to the casino for an adrenaline rush, many viewers wanted to believe that she would stay there. That it’s just two girlfriends having fun in the game room and then leaving gracefully. Hana even manages to win some money, she probably wishes for beginner’s luck. Vanda stays at the bar the whole time and is reluctant to even approach the roulette wheel. It seems quite reasonable and some are keeping their fingers crossed that she doesn’t succumb to temptation and fall back into the awful problems she’s been getting out of for so long.
But if we really thought that love for Luďek (Vasil Fridrich) and regaining what she painfully lost due to her gambling would fix her, we were very naive. Vanda obviously knocked herself up, she probably already forgot how unhappy she was without Luďek, pushed away somewhere abroad, where she had to take care of an old man in order to pay her debts. She forgot how hard it was to get her husband to trust her again and not threaten divorce. Not to mention the fact that Luděk still doesn’t fully trust her, otherwise he would cancel the supervision of Vanda’s bank account.
I hope he remembers how he pocketed the first winnings, I’m a little afraid of how it will turn out.
“Wanda is, I’m sorry, stupid. He doesn’t value another new chance and makes mistakes again. Luděk won’t forgive her for this anymore.”
A difficult test awaits the careless Vanda
Apparently, the young lady had pushed out of her memory the remorse and the fear of serious consequences. There will be those who will dig into her with gusto for her stupidity, carelessness and unnecessary risk-taking. After all, she must have suspected that when she stepped into the casino again, it would tempt her to gamble. We can safely bet that it will definitely not stay with one visit. Vanda will definitely return to the casino again, with or without Hana, and may be tempted again by the prospect of easy money. The question is, will he really succumb, or will he realize at the last moment how colossal a mistake he is about to make. If Luděk finds out about it, it will be bad, no one doubts that.
When Ludí finds out, she’ll be kicked out of the house, she won’t even have a baby, she’s really unteachable.
“Of course Vanda gives in, borrows money from Hana and starts playing, she can’t resist. When Luďa finds out, it will be a rodeo.”
Maybe Vanda lacks excitement in her life, maybe she doesn’t really want a child at all, which Luděk is basically trying to push her into. She is neither mature nor practical, which she herself admits. Unfortunately, Hana tries to convince her otherwise, actually offering her money for the game. It’s hard to resist a friend like that – Hana spends it when she suspects that she has nothing to lose.
