Chomutovskogo – Months of work by the Chomutovskogo TOXI team again brought results in the form of the arrest of four drug dealers this time.
“During September of last year, criminal investigators first obtained information from the city police officers from Kláštereck nad Ohří about the possible distribution of meth in Kláštereck. By developing this knowledge and conducting an extensive investigation, they obtained information testifying to the distribution of mainly meth by several persons and to the participation of these persons in drug crimes. To distribute occurred both in Klášterec nad Ohří and its surroundings, as well as in the Kadaň region,” said police spokeswoman Miroslava Glogovská.
Last weekend, criminal investigators, together with other Chomutov units and the intervention unit, launched the implementation. The aim was to detain one of the suspects directly after purchasing methamphetamine, for which, according to established information, he was supposed to go to Děčín and secure the purchased drug, then detain other suspects and carry out searches of homes and non-residential premises and other actions, including interrogations, etc.
“During the implementation itself, first the police using the intervention unit on road No. 1/13 stopped a vehicle in which one of the suspects (45 years old) was the driver, together with him the police detained his passenger. As it soon became clear, the person concerned actually returned “from a purchase”, when the police seized over 90 grams of meth in the car. One of these detainees was later released, because he did not buy or sell the drug, he was only given the task by his acquaintance to “taste” the meth, so that the dealer (who himself he does not use) convinced him of its quality when purchasing it,” the spokeswoman described.
This was followed by the arrest of other suspects and the aforementioned searches and interrogations. A total of more than 160 grams of a whitish-yellow and white crystalline substance (according to the orientation test it was meth), containers with dried green plants (marijuana), plastic bags, digital scales and other things were seized.
“A total of five men were detained by the police during the operation, four of whom were subsequently charged by the investigator on the basis of evidence with the crime of illegal production and other handling of narcotic and psychotropic substances and poisons. The oldest of the accused is a 45-year-old man who is the only one of the accused who does not use meth . Because, according to the evidence secured, he was supposed to distribute it to a considerable extent at his current place of residence in Klášterec nad Ohří, the court can impose a prison sentence of two to ten years on him. The same upper limit of the sentence also threatens another accused (37 years old), who was supposed to sell meth at his place of residence in Kadani. This man should have committed the act even though he was convicted of a similar crime in 2021. The 31-year-old man from Kláštere, who had in addition to methamphetamine, he also sold marijuana and earned tens of thousands of crowns. In court, he is threatened with a stay in prison for a period of one to five years,” informed Miroslava Glogovská.
Two of the accused (aged 45 and 31) are being prosecuted in custody.
