A man was given five years for touching his granddaughter while babysitting. The girl doesn’t want to see her grandfather anymore

The crime took place last February, when the parents entrusted the girl to her grandfather to look after them so that they could attend the celebration. According to the file, the man, considerably enhanced by alcohol, called the girl to his couch during the evening, where he was watching porn. He then pulled down her underwear and began groping her despite her resistance. He masturbated there.

The accused confessed in court. “If I wasn’t under the influence, it wouldn’t have happened. The children liked to go to my place. I then underwent treatment, which I completed,” said the elderly man, adding that he regrets everything and has not drunk since.

On Wednesday, the court sentenced him to five years in prison, i.e. at the lower limit of the rate, which allows up to a twelve-year sentence for the rape of a child under the age of fifteen. He must pay 100,000 crowns for non-property damage, the prosecution demanded a quarter of a million.

According to her father, the girl doesn’t even want to see her grandfather anymore. “She has not had any contact with him since then,” her mother confirmed in court. Despite the horrific experience, the girl goes to school and, according to her parents, is doing well.
