Berber’s defense attorneys proposed an acquittal. They tried to break the prosecutor’s version

Roman Berbr, who was the only one of the defendants, attended every trial.

The former sports director of the Vyhrad club Roman Rogoz also arrived in the second half, for whom the state representative Jan Scholle suggested the highest punishment, because he is currently on probation for another crime: 7.5 years in prison and a fine of 350,000 crowns.

Berbro was sentenced to half a year in prison and a fine of 5.5 million crowns. The defendant, to whom Scholle proposed an unconditional prison sentence, is the function of Michal Knk. He, too, sang his preeminent e.

no criminal organized group existed. I did not go with Berber on the day of the invoice. I consider the proposal of the representative of the state to be inadequate, declared Knk, who then left the court.

State representative Jan Scholle declared during the run: The covered Knk was in the right zone, but in the main line he gradually backed away from it. Therefore, I propose a non-conditional sentence of six years and eight months and a fine.

According to Scholle, all of the accused were members of an organized criminal group. Therefore, his proposal talks about non-conditional punishments. The fourth defendant, Michal Grmm, has the status of a cooperating defendant and received a suspended sentence from the court.

At first, Roman Berbr did not sit with his lawyer Michal Skora on a cushioned couch. The two defenders, Luk Bohuslav and Tom Givna, occupied all those behind the table next to Skora. There wasn’t much left for Berber. That’s why Berbr sat down on the hard old bench in their madness. He listened carefully to the lawyers. Obas was watching something on his mobile phone, once he wiped his lion’s eye with a handkerchief.

With their performances, the defenders of the former most powerful force in Czech football tried to break down the version of the absolute decline.

Attorney Luk Bohuslav repeated it, he was sleeping last fall. He claims that the law does not respond to the approval of plea agreements by the defendants, who confessed to the crime before the court in the fall, agreed on the punishments with the state representative, and the judges then approved them.

There are contradictions in what was agreed upon and ultimately approved by the court. We believe that the basic condition was not met regarding those who were arrested at the time, as well as those who were convicted. No objections were raised by the court. This set of objections is that those who entered into plea agreements were first heard as defendants. After the plea agreements were approved, they were then questioned as witnesses, advocate Bohuslav argued.

Michal Skora then spoke for an hour and a quarter, who was at the same time with Berber. He immediately said that his punishment would be unpleasant for the poor man, that he would be critical. According to him, he used a lot of speculations, half-truths, enigma and platitudes.

It is the duty to spill what is claimed, what is proven by the evidence and what may harm the client, even if there is no proof of it. I consider it highly manipulative that a centenarian is talking about influential saves, but the wrapped Berber is not blamed. The wiretaps with which the cover works are from another time, not the recordings that are the subject of the cover, claims Skora.

In the end, he argued for a long time, why the court should not accept as proven the deeds for which he wants to punish Berber. During the whole time, he did not bother to find out how much the Plzeň Football Association had in store, declared the lawyer for the embezzlement of money from the Plzeň Association, which Berbr is accused of.

The first to embezzle money and withdraw money from the Regional Football Association in Pilsen, and thus organized criminal groups, spoke after noon to the aunt from the lawyer Givna. Covering Berber wine for being its head.

Givna, on the day of the state commission on an organized criminal organization, in which Berbr was supposed to be the leader, was strictly rejected. Who proves something that is not, he declared.

He delivered the speech:

Roman Berber’s mind never dared to write things of his own. His aim was to get the best possible value for the union, i.e. equipped for decisions, football matches. Even if we accept that he used them in a different way – according to ethnicity, I don’t mean that according to our view. The package was purchased from someone else, not the one to whom the invoice ultimately belonged. Did he actually write to himself foreign things or codes, or was he forced to do so by circumstances? Or did he choose an inadequate means? summed up the defender.

According to him, the police did not make a proper inventory in the warehouses. He recalled that the Berber dog was a Vietnamese medium toy and the thorn was made in Pakistan. They sold me cheaper that way, not in brick and mortar stores. Berbr saved the union about two million crowns, betrayed the defense.

The latter suggested the complete opposite of Berber’s claim that it was not proven that the alleged act had taken place.

Then Berbr should also get to speak.

If I use the possibility of the last word and those accused who are in court today, one will stretch until the evening.

How the whole case started

Ppad began with Berber and twenty other decisions, delegates and functions in January 2020.

Until then, Berbr had acted as the mayor of the association, but he actually ruled football in the Czech Republic. In addition to being accused of influence peddling, there was also the fact that the Pilsen Regional Football Association prepared a fraudulent agreement together with other accusations, it was five, for a total of 2.32 million crowns.

Berbr spent several months in custody, as did Rogoz, a sports editor of Vyehrad. The court thus sent the referee Grmm and former first league player Knk to custody.

According to the cover, in May and June 2019, corruption was involved in Vyehrad’s five saves in this league, and then in August, he was involved in the second-highest match. Miroslav Skla from Plzeň delegates the punishment. He agreed to an eight-month probationary period with a two-year probationary period, a fine of 48,000 crowns and a two-year disqualification from performing the function of delegate.

Another convict is Petr Tarkovsk, who, however, has nothing to do with football. The court sentenced him to an eight-year sentence with 18 months’ probation and a fine of 55 thousand crowns for negligently legalizing the importation of criminal activity.

Some court Marek Janoch received a suspended sentence for eighteen months, a fine of 350 thousand crowns and the loss of his business. He admitted to drinking a salary for a potentially influential save in this league.
